Privacy Policy

MoneyLog is a local-first personal finance application developed by Make Anything Simple. This policy explains how information is handled when you use MoneyLog.

Information stored on your device

MoneyLog may store finance records, accounts, transaction notes, receipts, budgets, goals, bills, categories and app settings locally on your device so the app can provide its core features.

Accounts and bank access

MoneyLog does not require a MoneyLog account for its core features and does not require you to sign in to your bank account.

Country and currency setup

Country, currency and regional defaults may be inferred from local Android signals such as device region, network/SIM country information and time zone. MoneyLog does not require an IP-based internet lookup for country detection.

Backups and exports

Backups and exports are created only when you choose to create them. If you save or share an exported file with a third-party storage provider, that action is controlled by you and the selected provider is governed by its own privacy terms.

PIN and biometrics

PIN and biometric options are used to protect access to the app on your device. MoneyLog does not receive your fingerprint or biometric template.

Sharing and advertising

The current MoneyLog core experience does not require advertising tracking or bank-data sharing. Your locally stored finance records are not sold by MoneyLog.

Data retention and deletion

Local MoneyLog data remains on your device until you delete it, reset app data or uninstall the app, subject to Android device behavior. Files that you exported or backed up outside MoneyLog must be deleted separately from the location where you saved them.

Security

MoneyLog provides local privacy controls such as PIN/biometric protection. You are responsible for protecting your device and any backup files you create.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when MoneyLog features change. The latest version will remain available on this page.
